62ND INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION: KWARA CORPS MEMBER EXPRESSES HOPE, OFFERS PRAYERS TO GOD FOR A BETTER NIGERIA

I celebrate today because I am a Nigerian and I believe I’ll make it in this country. What about you?

Being a Nigerian has allowed me to showcase my cleverness even now that I'm yet a National Youth Service Corps Member in Kwara State.

Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is a country I stan, filled with its fabulous and peace-loving citizens. It is no mistake that I pledge my faithfulness, loyalty, and honesty to him.

Day after day I'm being reminded of my country's inability to be calm and translucent, but I stay true to the dream that it shall one day stand again.

There is a remnant who believes that Nigeria will yet Arise. Yes! There is a remnant who believes that we still have a balm in the land that is set to heal every broken piece of Nigeria. There is a remnant that has not given up on God's plan for Nigeria.

Let's this day Pray for a better Nigeria!!! Let's stop the habit of condemning Nigeria! wait a minute, I want to ask you a question, what have you done in your little way to make the nation a better Nigeria, Or do you think Nigeria is for only the Government? So before you condemn Nigeria, ask yourself certain questions!

Nigeria is for all of us its citizens!!! and the better Nigeria, we crave to see will begin with YOU and I. Let's stop the negative energy and start making plans how our country will turn out a better place to be.

Spread love and more Kindness, be good to your neighbor, and respect everyone, Little things like this can make a difference!!! It took a lot of passion, determination, and selflessness from many great Nigerians to make our independence day reality in 1960.

Today, Nigeria our beloved country is yet again celebrating her Independence, and 62 years of self-governance, it's on that remark I herewith this rare privilege stand in the gap, as an NYSC Corps Member, who's currently offering sincere service to the nation in Kwara state to offer prayers to God to give us, a better and progressive Nigeria.

Today, I pray for a country where translucency is a norm, a Nigeria where all citizens won't hesitate to embrace unity irrespective of federal character, nepotism, tribalism, and political affiliations.

On this day, I pray for a Nigeria where lives won't be lost on account of hospital strikes or where payment must be made upfront before treatment is administered to a patient.

On this day, I pray for a country where its peace is defended not with bombs or bullets but by bringing progress that restores the faith and peace of the people in the country.

A country where preaching unity and a one Nigeria is not only done with the mouth but it's done by bringing progress to all.

I pray for a country where its government takes a thrill in investing in equal economic opportunities.

I pray for a country where laws are made and upheld firmly by their makers, in such a manner that when action ‘A’ is perpetrated, then consequence ‘B’ takes its course regardless of who is involved, a justice system that is blind to all who stand before it.

A country where I won't be made to sit at home for over 8 months because its government has refused to meet the demands of its educational system. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

If you're a Nigerian, and you love your country, do well to join me in coveting this prayer for your country.

#HappyIndependenceDay.
